District 80 School Closing

The State of Illinois has extended the school closing through April 7, 2020. This extension will occur during the District 80 scheduled Spring break which is April 6 – 13, 2020. At this time, all District 80 Schools will resume on April 14, 2020.
District 80 will continue to provide updates as we move forward. Please check phone messages, text messages, Dist 80 App (App Store - Google Play) and our web page (www.mtv80.org) for updates and information.
District 80 Meal Distribution Sites
District 80 will continue meal distribution from March 30-April 03, 2020 using prepacked meals. Parents, guardians, and students are asked to continue to use the grab and go method at each site. Please ensure to adhere to CDC social distancing practices. Times and locations are listed below.
- Mays Manor Rec Room- 100 S 9th. St
- Central Christian Church- 301 N 10th St.
- Casey Middle School- 1829 Broadway
- Sugar Camp Baptist Church- 601 S. 21st St
- Rolland Lewis Building- 800 S. 27th Street
- Willow Springs Apartments- 4100 Willow Springs
- Chesterfield Village Apartments- 4201 Valley Forge Rd
- Garden Glen Apartments- 1407 S. 34th St
District 80 Remote Learning
On Monday, March 16, 2020 all students in grades K-8 received paper learning packets. Electronic copies of these packets along with Pre-K resources have been posted on our web page. Please see our web page or contact your child’s school if you need a learning packet.
With the extension of the school closing, District 80 is working on a plan to provide further remote learning opportunities to students during the extended closing. Remote learning packets and online learning activities will be updated after Spring Break.
Pre-K Screenings February 24th, 2020
The mission of the Dr. Andy Hall Early Childhood Center is to provide a developmentally appropriate and comprehensive early childhood education program for preschool-age children. The comprehensive program will meet educational, emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of the children. Family engagement will be encouraged, and support for family goals to enhance the well-being of children and families will be provided.
The vision of District #80 is always seeking, always learning and its mission is to challenge all students to seek a brighter future.
